The team behind IRSA
IRSA brings together researchers, practitioners, and systems thinkers committed to developing regenerative capital as a field. Our work spans theoretical foundations, empirical research, and real-world implementation.
Research Team
Roshan Ghadamian is the Founder and Director of the Institute for Regenerative Systems Architecture (IRSA). His research develops the theoretical foundations of regenerative capital—a fourth capital class alongside debt, equity, and grants—with flagship implementations including Perpetual Social Capital (PSC) for philanthropy. He has authored the institute's eight-paper research program spanning Regenerative Capital Theory, PSC mathematics, Regenerative Cycle Architecture, Alignment Capital, Political Economy, Climate Economics, Capital Markets, and Regenerative Architecture Thinking.
Areas of Expertise
Susan Sheldrick leads IRSA's research on rural AI, digital inclusion, and socio-technical systems. Her work focuses on how artificial intelligence is shaping the capabilities, resilience, and economic futures of rural and regional communities. Drawing on extensive fieldwork across Australia and northern Sweden, Susan's research highlights how connectivity gaps, community networks, and everyday technologies influence the way rural SMEs interact with AI.
At IRSA, Susan directs the Rural Systems & AI Program, contributing foundational insights for initiatives such as Commons Boxes, Community Data Trusts, and the PSC-Civ infrastructure cycle. Her background in Information Systems and her focus on community-centred technology ensure that IRSA's work strengthens local capability rather than deepening digital divides.
