Mission-Capital Alignment
Calculate temporal misalignment between funding cycles and mission cycles. Visualize the Δ-Λ operators for development contexts.
Δ-Λ Operators
δK/δF = 0 (insulated from fragility)
K(t) = M(t) (synchronized with mission)
Mission Domain
Funding Model
Regenerative Criterion NOT Met
Health missions (3-7 year cycles) funded by Annual Budget (1-year cycles): Requires 5 funding renewals. Survival probability: 33%.
Temporal Misalignment Ratio
Ratio of mission cycle to funding cycle. Ratio > 1 means multiple renewals required.
Δ-Λ Phase Space
Only capital in the upper-right quadrant (Δ ≥ 70%, Λ ≥ 70%) is truly regenerative.
The Temporal Governance Challenge
Most development finance fails on both operators. Annual budgets and short grants are neither decoupled (Δ fails) nor aligned (Λ fails). Endowments achieve decoupling but not alignment (only 5% deployed annually). Only RDF satisfies both Δ AND Λ—the full regenerative criterion.
